Please can you give us an overview of your career
My career started many years ago with Natwest Trust Corporation, which went on to become Coutts Offshore. I have worked in many areas of financial services including, Tax, Investment Administration, Offshore Banking and Trust and Fiduciary. I was very fortunate to work with some fantastic people during my early years in this industry which gave me a great foundation. I have a diploma in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the Institute of Directors.
I worked for Coutts for 15 years before moving on to a large independent trust company. In 2010 I moved to a smaller fiduciary business which was later acquired by Boston at which time I, together with my colleagues, became part of the Boston family. Since then Boston has grown from a modest sized Isle of Man based operation to an international business with offices and great people in Malta and Dubai. In 2019 Katherine Ellis and I successful concluded a management buyout and we are looking forward to growing the business further in the years to come.
