Roelf joined Boston in 2023 as a Business Development Executive, following the acquisition of Turnstone’s fiduciary business in the Isle of Man. Originally from South Africa, Roelf relocated to Mauritius in 2001 to establish the Turnstone Group, before moving to the Isle of Man in 2004.
Roelf specialises in supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families in the creation and development of multi-generational, multi-jurisdictional family enterprises. He guides clients on the implementation of robust family governance frameworks to help preserve and transition wealth across generations.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Accounting, an MBA from the University of Birmingham (UK), and a STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising. Roelf is a member of both the Institute of Directors and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Outside of work, Roelf enjoys exploring the Manx countryside and glens, often with a camera in hand, capturing the natural beauty that makes the Isle of Man such a unique place to live. He maintains strong ties with South Africa and is a enthusiastic supporter of wildlife and conservation initiatives.
